- We Charge ACTUAL UPS SHIPPING RATES & NEVER MAKE A PROFIT ON SHIPPING!
- GREENTHUMBPALMS.COM ships all plants wrapped in black plastic with as much soil left in tact as possible.
- We use Zeba super absorbent soil amendment in our own proprietary bamboo growing mix. Zeba is an organic product made from corn, which buffers our soil from fluctuations in moisture, and assures you delivery of a fresh, healthy plant.
- Bamboo's are trimmed to a height of 30" (from the ground up) and packed in the appropriate size box. Trimming eases the stress of shipping and promotes new shoot development.
- When applicable we will choose to bend tall canes to fit in our standard 30" shipping boxes, as we have found the bamboo quite resilient and quickly springs back to form.
- Some Plants can arrive up to 5 foot tall!
- Shipping takes place once a week on Monday or Tuesday.
- WE CHARGE A $2 PER PLANT BOX AND PACKAGING CHARGE, TO COVER OUR MATERIAL & LABOR FOR PULLING,PREPING AND PACKAGING YOUR ORDER.
- Shipping costs represent a large portion of the total item price. To keep costs to a minimum, I will consolidate orders to fit in as few boxes as possible, and combine weights.Because my plants are big and weigh a lot, I ship UPS GROUND. I have had no problems with the viability of plants throughout shipping or their condition upon arrival. I do not make any money on shipping and charge a small handling fee to cover the cost of my boxes and packing materials.
